An Old Family Tradition - Part 3A

Previously, Billy Bob's first wife, Rose, cheated on Billy Bob, likely by flirting with Brandon Lillard, putting an end to their relationship. It wasn't the first time, and Billy Bob was now raising a daughter that wasn't his. Needing help, and a few extra brats running around, he called his other Love, Demi, and asked her to move in.

Rose moved into her own trailer, ironically - or purposely - located right next door.

She set out making friends, because if she ever gets played, she'll work toward her LTW of 20 Simultaneous Loves....wait! What's that going on in the background?!

Why Billy Bob?! I didn't know you had it in you! And the paper stealing / trash can knocking over war begins. Even though Rose has been foiled by fencing.

Actually, the main reason Rose got her own place next door is so Billy Joe and Bobby Sue could keep in contact with her and become friends. No reason for them to suffer because of their parents couldn't keep what was in their pants between just them. So, Billy Joe greets his Mom and the healing begins.

Of course, Billy Bob and Demi wasted no time working on getting knocked up for pregnancy number three.

What we had there was a first time chime! Complete with creepy eyes on Billy Bob's part. I hate when their eyes do that. Creeps me out!

You may have noticed that the master bed was replaced with some of the funds that Demi brought to the household. The old master was placed in the yard for the annual yard sale. Being on public display did not deter Billy Bob and Demi from putting on their own public display.

Soon after Demi's pregnancy pop, Billy Bob popped the all important question. Please note the happy blue glow of the rings above their heads, unlike the angry red one that appeared above Rose's when a similar question was asked.

The required keg was purchased and placed outside for wedding guests. They enjoyed it. Very much.

The wedding took place inside, where no one really paid attention, especially because they were all in line for the bathroom off the bride and groom's suite.

Soon after, Billy Joe grew up.

He's so adorable! First thing he did? Went to feed Sheba, of course.

Second thing he did? Cleaned Sheba's dog house. I...I think I love this kid!!

Then, he came home with and A+ on his first day of school! First sim kid I've ever had to do that! It's official, I DO love this kid!!

I was a little disappointed that there's not a huge red A+ on the report card. :(

Finally, it was time for the annual yard sale and the hope of clearing out some of the accumulated and dug up junk. Billy Bob opened the sale, but had to get to work almost immediately, so Demi took over shortly afterward.

All went pretty well, except when Billy Bob's former BFF and current nemesis Brandon showed up. Luckily, there were no fisticuffs and Brandon smoothed things over by making a purchase.

And, we even had a blue bag, which I understand can be somewhat elusive and a gold bag, which must be as well. I don't ever really play businesses, so I had no idea there were different colored bags based on the amount customers purchased.

The yard sale was a success. From the 6 bones, 5 rocks, 2 vases, 1 table, 1 bed, 2 broken tv's, 3 counters and 2 maps, they netted a grand total of $3,700 and only had the two broken tv's left in the yard.

Right after the yard sale, Demi rushed inside to help Bobby Sue transition to her toddler birthday.

The next night, she went into labor while Billy Bob again felt the need to make the bed. *eye roll*

And here's where I had a moment of WTF?! PANIC! HOW STUPID A PLAYER CAN I BE?! You see, in a state of mild distraction, I accidentally clicked the check box on the baby's name BEFORE I actually typed the baby's name in the box. I then thought, "no biggie, I can change it with the bat box", then I thought, "wait, this IS the Trailer Park Challenge. This could be a valid name for a child in a Trailer Park Challenge!" So, meet Baby Boy Wankert. :D

As always, life went on in the Wankert trailer. Lest we forget about Sheba, she's still here and still well. Stinky and in constant need of a bath it seems, but she's here.

She also likes to chase the mail lady around, which is hilarious.

Bobby Sue likes to eat Sheba's food. It becomes a recurring theme with the younger Wankert children.

Billy Bob has also taught her all of her toddler skills. Even though I only took the one picture. Trust me. He's perma plat. He teaches all the kids their skills.

Oh, and Demi was pregnant again. This makes the required fourth pregnancy. She gave birth to another boy. His name is Billy Mack.

Then there were a couple of birthdays and I don't quite remember the order, but Baby Boy became a toddler and Bobby Sue became a child. Baby Boy is a 9/4/9/10/3 Taurus, just like his big brother. Could be first born glitch, but they have different mothers, so hopefully genetics will be different.

They both made friends with Sheba, albeit in their own way.

Billy Joe continued to get good grades, however, Bobby Sue was not so lucky. She had to work a little harder before hers improved.

I also sent them to visit their mother, where they played with each other mostly instead of interacting with her.

Ooh! Ooh! Guess who this is?! Well, his name is Jihoon Hsu. If you guessed that he's actually Bobby Sue's father, you win an internet cookie! He keeps walking by the trailer. Every day at 11:00. It's like he KNOWS! But, Bobby Sue has been at school, so I can't have her greet him, and having anyone else do so just seems...awkward.

Remember Webster, the dog I want them to adopt? Well, he hasn't been back in a dog's age - hehe - so I had Billy Bob greet this dog. Bailey I think. They played fetch for a while, but didn't seem to get along very well. They've been playing fetch and catch in the house lately. Not sure why since they have a ginormous yard to play in. I need to find another dog because Sheba will age up soon and I really want to try for puppies.

Billy Bob changed jobs to the culinary tract and got a promotion, so I sent him to Wally World to see if we could find a dog. We did! He looks like Webster, but he's not. His name is Gilley. I can't remember all his stats, but I think he's a doofus and finicky with the rest running down the middle.

I keep getting the pop up that he's starving, but I don't know how since all he does is eat.

Look at him and Sheba. Wouldn't they make hilariously interesting puppies? Muwhahahaha!

Then we had more birthdays. Billy Mack aged to toddler, Baby Boy aged to child, and Billy Joe aged to teen. My first uncontrollable. I hope he does okay. *worry hands* Billy Mack is a detective down in Texas...nah, just kidding. He's also a 9/4/9/10/3 Taurus, just like his older brothers. Freakin' first born glitch. *runs off to CAS to roll the dice a few hundred times*

I took a picture of Billy Joe and Baby Boy together to see if I could spot genetic differences, but since I kind of suck at that sort of thing, I'm not sure.

Billy Joe rolled Family with Pleasure secondary. His LTW is to graduate three kids from college. Eek. He also randomized gay and his turn ons are underwear and red hair, with being jobless his turn off. I randomize those as well.

I don't think he got Billy Bob's jaw.

With that, I'm pretty sure we've hit right around 50 pics, and rather than 'splode my LJ, I'll post Part 3B tomorrow. Hope you all enjoy! And if you now have an earworm, my work here is done. :P

I'm excited to finally get them to this point. :D I've always micro-managed them so much, it's been interesting to not be able to.

Makes sense to keep Rose reachable - I hate how sims in the bin don't have phones. 'Tis annoying.

*amused at the bed in the yard*

Billy Joe clearly = win.

Yeah, no one seems to buy the broken stuff, which is annoying, cause getting rid of it would be nice.

Haha, love the name Baby Boy.

Unfortunately, they won't make super interesting puppies - if one is a large dog and one is a small dog, I believe all puppies end up looking exactly like the mother, which is annoying, imo.

Can't wait for more!

I try to make sure I give sims who move out a cell phone. I think that makes them reachable even if I leave them in the bin.

These people clearly have no shame.

I love Billy Joe. I feel bad because I probably focus on him more than the others, but I'm trying to be better about it.

Bummer about the puppies. I wish they blended a bit more.

Should have more up later today. :)

Nothing wrong with having a favorite child. I admit 100% that Jewel is my favorite among my kids, though I didn't fully realize just how much I wanted her to be heir until I was putting up the heir poll and then I was like "...she's totally my favorite."

Yeah, I wish small and large dogs blended properly for sure.

Baby Boy is totally a valid name for this challenge! I love it.

Heh, it doesn't even have a good nickname. It will always be Baby Boy. :D

"wait, this IS the Trailer Park Challenge. This could be a valid name for a child in a Trailer Park Challenge!" So, meet Baby Boy Wankert.

Nice. I can't wait until he's an elder! "Please pass the peas, Grandpa Baby Boy." :D

Billy Mack is cute... but does he know exactly what the facts is?

If Billy Joe's voted heir, is he going to have magical gay male pregnancies or is he going to be married off to a lady regardless?
Aug. 25th, 2012 07:39 pm (UTC)
*snerk* "Grandpa Baby Boy"

Billy Joe would have magical gay male pregnancies or equally magical alien pregnancies. If they can afford a telescope by then. Or at least that's what I'll try for.

My sims have been known to make up their own minds...

"Baby Boy"--heh! That's exactly how I ended up with a female Malcolm Landgraab V!
Aug. 25th, 2012 07:40 pm (UTC)
It was definitely a head desk moment. :)
Aug. 25th, 2012 10:31 pm (UTC)
Heh -- 3/4 of the men are named Billy. Makes me think of that joke about the woman who had 15 boys, all named "Dave." :D And Baby Boy's name is great too. Although I can see him going by "BB."

Off to read Part B!
