An Old Family Tradition - Part 3B

Hello, hello! Back with part 3B for y'all! Part 3A can be found here.

Not going to go into a huge "previously" right here, since it's only been a day. :)

We'll start out with proof that the younger Wankerts prefer kibble to smart milk.

Gilley is worried. He's sure he doesn't get enough to eat on a regular basis and having babies toss around his precious golden bits of horse meat is somewhat disconcerting.

The following pictures are brought to you by the "I <3 Billy Joe Fan Club" TM (I'm really making an effort not to focus on him so much, but IT IS HARD!!)

The family, as a whole, get along very well and do a lot of stuff with each other.

Well, most of the time.

Gilley and Sheba finally built up enough relationship points to try for puppies. Sheba is pretty old though, and while I was holding out for a lullaby, no chimes were to be heard. :(

Billy Bob though it was an interesting process though.

Sheba aged to elder shortly afterward. She doesn't look all that different.

It was also Billy Bob's turn for a birthday. He's quite a bit older than Demi at this point due to the whole first marriage thing. She keeps trying for baby, but we've been lucky enough to dodge that bullet for the time being.

Billy Bob makes a pretty cute elder, and I think I'm keeping the outfit he grew into as his funeral suit. I'll send him to Wally World to get more appropriate everyday wear later. I also made him quit his job. He wasn't going to get that final promotion to level 4, and even if he did, I wouldn't have been able to get him in the criminal career track. I had Demi get a job to keep the money coming in. She's currently at level 3 in culinary. She's got a ton of skill points and her promotions have gone quickly. I have to keep a close eye on them. She might make it into the criminal track before she reaches elder status.

I was able to get a profile shot of Baby Boy, and I'm pretty sure that there are subtle differences between him and Billy Joe genetically. Billy Bob's genetics trample all over everyone else's though. All three boys have the same eyes and skins. I think the brows are all the same too. The differences lie in their noses and jaw lines.

Billy Bob's retirement and perma plat-ness made it easy to get Billy Mack all of his toddler skills. Took less than half a sim day.

Which was a good thing because he had gotten kind of neglected and that evening grew up.

He got a quick makeover so I wouldn't confuse him with Baby Boy. He grew up into the pirate suit and it kind of fit, so he got to keep it. Also, a side by side comparison between him and Baby Boy.

And another profile view. I think he got his daddy's jaw. :)

Bobby Sue grew up at the same time, only I missed her sparkles because I was so focused on Billy Mack. I wish there was a rewind button sometimes.

She also got a quick makeover, but got to keep the clothes she grew up into because, again, they fit her. She rolled Romance with Family secondary, with a LTW to be a Celebrity Chef. Her turn ons are Charisma and Vampirism, here turn off is Werewolves. I'm not even gonna go there. I also grew up Brittany Parker and Orlando Centowski because they were all friends and I needed some autonomous romance sim fodder. Bobby Sue randomized bi-sexual.

Now there are two uncontrollables in the house. Fun times ensue.

Bobby Sue is not shy. Nor can she find the shower right next to the sink.

Billy Bob's retirement pays off again because he's always there and always has time to help Billy Joe and Bobby Sue with their homework so it gets done and doesn't pile up. A few games of red hands and a "help _____ with homework" and it's all good.

Bobby Sue was the first of the two teens to put the moves on someone. She chose Brittany Parker. It was not a good choice. She was rejected. You can tell by the clearly angry smooth edged hearts swirling about.

Billy Joe required a little "influence" from Billy Bob. He was influenced to flirt with Orlando Centowski.

"My work here is done."

He then proceeded to cement the relationship by giving Orlando a noogie. *eye roll*

Finally, spring had arrived and the family was able to go test out the community pool! I was wondering how they were all going to fit in the pick-up truck.

They didn't. Bobby Sue didn't make it into the truck and ended up staying home while they were at the pool.

The community pool lot worked great! Billy Bob and Billy Mack enjoyed swimming.

Demi took full advantage of the snack machines.

Baby Boy played on the playground.

And Billy Joe made friends with the locals, who thought he was hot, even though they weren't quite his type.

I had Billy Bob dig for treasure in the back corner of the lot. I was hoping he would hit a water pipe and I could use it as a convenient "excuse" to dig a fishing pond, but no such luck. All he found was more stuff for the next yard sale.

I dug a pond for them anyway. Billy Mack was the first to fish it. Since his brother and sister are uncontrollable, I hoped that they might eventually join him out there, but he remained the sad, lonely figure the entire time.

He's the one who has taken the most interest in Gilley too. To the extreme of petting him so much he's almost pushed him off the back porch.

Look who showed up on the lot again?! It's Webster! I went ahead and had Billy Bob build their relationship back up and adopt him. I realize I won't get puppies out of him and Gilley, but at least I'll have the two dogs when Sheba goes and won't have to worry about it so much.

Lovely, doofus, sloppy dog that Webster is, this is the first thing he did after the adoption interaction.

That night it was time for Baby Boy to age to teen. He rolled Fortune with Grilled Cheese secondary and a LTW to earn $100,000. I LOL'd. Hard. His turn ons are Plantsims and witches and his turn off is Full Face Make-up. I'm beginning to mis-trust Random.org. I also aged Marsha Breunig with him. He randomized straight.

Webster again provided the distraction that led to a series of events that now qualify the Wankerts as guests on The Jerry Springer Show. There really are no words...

Yes folks, that's Bobby Sue and Baby Boy. They have different parents and their relationship was at 100/98 and being distracted by the freakin' dog, I didn't even consider friend zoning them. It all went so quickly. Then, as I was debating, because this IS a Trailer Park Challenge, I get a pop-up that says, "Bobby Sue is Trying For Baby..." OMG!!!! WHAT?!?! "Total is 65, Random rolled is 73". I have no idea what that means, but there was no chime. Thank Plumbob!

And with that, I had the first indication that Billy Joe was not as entirely happy as he seemed. I feel ya Billy Joe, I feel ya.

This seems as good a time as any to set up the heir poll.

First up, we have Billy Joe Wankert. Billy Joe is a 9/4/9/10/3, Taurus, Family/Romance sim with a LTW to graduate 3 kids from college. His TO/TO's are underwear and red hair / Jobless. He is gay.

Pros: He's due to age up soon and I will be able to control him. He's got a love interest, even though it's only one bolt, but I think I can build on that. Technically, his LTW could be doable, there would just have to be a buttload of kids to guarantee it and an eligible heir for the next generation. I LUFF HIM!

Cons: He's due to age up soon, so the house would be full to bursting since I haven't been able to build a double wide yet. He only has one love interest at the moment.

Next, Bobby Sue Wankert. Bobby Sue is a 2/2/10/10/10, Sagittarius, Romance/Family sim with a LTW to become a Celebrity Chef. Her TO/TO's are Charisma and Vampirism / Werewolves. She is bi.

Pros: She's almost to adult and the next generation could get under way fairly quickly. Her current love interest lives in the same house, so even though she doesn't have any of Billy Bob's genetics, they could be kept in the line.

Cons: Her LTW is out of the question. Her love interest is kind of squicky.

Third, Baby Boy Wankert. Baby Boy is a 9/4/9/10/3, Taurus, Fortune/Grilled Cheese sim with a LTW to earn $100,000. His TO/TO's are Plantsims and witches / Full face make-up. He is straight.

Pros: He's in the middle, so there's time to get the older kids out and free up some room in the trailer. He has a built in love interest in the house. Grilled Cheese! He currently probably most sums up the unique qualities that make this a Trailer Park Challenge.

Cons: His LTW is laughable. His love interest is kind of squicky.

Finally, Billy Mack Wankert. Billy Mack is a 9/4/9/10/3, Taurus, with currently unknown aspiration, LTW and TO/TO's since he's still a kid.

Pros: He's the youngest, so the house will empty out before he gets started on the next generation. He's a blank page. Anything is possible.

Cons: He could roll knowledge and be ineligible. It would be a while before he could get started on the next gen.

Of course, any of the four could possible run away, making them ineligible as heir. Vote away!

This poll is closed.

Who should be the Generation One Heir?

Billy Joe Wankert
Bobby Sue Wankert
Baby Boy Wankert
Billy Mack Wankert

I like them all, but I voted for Billy Joe because Bobby Sue and Baby Boy's "special relationship" makes me feel kind of oogy. xD
Aug. 25th, 2012 07:54 pm (UTC)
Yeah, it kind of squicks me out too. Not sure how far I can carry it if one of them is voted heir.
Aug. 25th, 2012 07:42 pm (UTC)
Bobby Sue and Baby Boy... Technically, they're STEP-siblings, right? Still made me laugh. SO MUCH WRONGNESS.
Aug. 25th, 2012 07:56 pm (UTC)
Yeah, they're step-siblings. They don't share any parents genetically, but they've been raised together. Bobby Sue and Billy Joe are half-siblings, sharing the same mother and Baby Boy and Billy Joe are half-siblings, sharing the same father.

Now see, that's what a Trailer Park Challenge is all about! MUSICAL PARENTS! Like Musical Chairs, only squickier in the gene pool.
Aug. 25th, 2012 08:52 pm (UTC)
Annie, TPC is the perfect place for squickiness! I voted for Bobby.
Aug. 26th, 2012 03:27 am (UTC)
Squickiness abounds! :D
Aug. 26th, 2012 11:55 am (UTC)
If it makes you feel any better, my sims just put me in almost the same position.
Aug. 25th, 2012 09:04 pm (UTC)
Had to go with Baby Boy.

A TPC is the proper place for really wrong relationships but with Baby Boy you'll maintain the founder's genetics and get a choice on going with relationship wrongness or not. And if Bobby sue gets knocked up in the meantime... oh well.
Aug. 26th, 2012 03:28 am (UTC)
I'm thinking that unless she's heir, if Bobby Sue gets knocked up, it's going to be all her. Baby Boy can definitely find another if he's chosen and we do get to have the founding genes. :)
Aug. 25th, 2012 09:17 pm (UTC)
I'm going to try and read both parts over tonight because I'm somewhat confused on who is and who isn't related to the founder so I don't want to vote for the wrong one- that is if you want the heir to be related to your founder?
Aug. 26th, 2012 03:29 am (UTC)
Bobby Sue is the only one who is not related to Billy Bob (the founder). The boys are all his. Hope that helps. ;)
Aug. 26th, 2012 11:08 am (UTC)
That does help. I think I'll have to go with the squicky crowd and say Baby Boy, plus his name is made of win for this challenge. I feel sorry for poor Billy Mack though. The bane of being the youngest child in a challenge household.
Aug. 25th, 2012 10:42 pm (UTC)
Eeeek, you weren't kidding about the Jerry Springer thing! I voted for Billy Joe because I want to see how a gay heir plays out in a trailer park (isn't that kind of Not Done?) -- it just opens the door for different types of Jerry Springer-ness, I think.

Not that I'll complain if Bobby Sue or Baby Boy win, because hey -- still Jerry Springer. But yes, a bit squicky...

Looking forward to the next installment! :D
Aug. 26th, 2012 03:31 am (UTC)
I never thought of the continuation of Springer-ness with a gay heir, but you're probably right. :D

It's always nice when the uncontrollable teens are awesome, isn't it?

Clearly, the kids all sit in the back of the pickup truck! That's why you HAVE one. :P

You could have Billy Mack invite the teens to join him at the fishing hole - yeah, you can't control THEM, but you can do all sorts of things to make them do what you want.

...Oh dear. Bobby Sue not being related to the two younger brothers is going to be an issue, isn't it?

You have to get under the total to make the try, then under a different total to actually get pregnant, so that's why she didn't.
Aug. 26th, 2012 03:34 am (UTC)
It is nice when the uncontrollables take care of themselves. I think they get into the most trouble when they can't fulfill their own wants. They're pretty good about their needs.

It would be awesome if the game had them sit in the back of the pick-up!

Yeah, I'm hoping it won't become an issue with Billy Mack, because that would cause DRAMA!!

Thanks for clearing up the Try For Baby numbers for me. I couldn't figure it out. :)

That's kind of my thought too. At least one Baby Boy/Bobby Sue baby. *oogie shudder*

Just voted for Billy Joe. The noogie scenes look like fun.
Aug. 26th, 2012 09:15 pm (UTC)
He noogies everyone. It's like his own personal approval. :D
Aug. 26th, 2012 01:08 pm (UTC)
I just voted for Billy Joe. I did think of going to vote for one of the other teens, but...
Aug. 26th, 2012 09:16 pm (UTC)
If Billy Joe doesn't win, at least he'll have a chance to settle down into a nice trailer of his very own and do what he wants with whomever he wants. :)
Aug. 26th, 2012 04:54 pm (UTC)
Baby Boy.
I just want to see him with Bobby Sue, I think it's perfect for the challenge.
Aug. 26th, 2012 09:17 pm (UTC)
The squickiness doesn't seem to be putting anyone off. :D
Aug. 27th, 2012 05:52 pm (UTC)
Well, it's kind of perfect for this challenge ;)
